Defense drone programs across Europe and beyond
A program is a named, multi-year effort by a government, an alliance or an agency to develop, buy, field or fund a drone or counter-drone capability, such as Eurodrone, the UK's Protector RG Mk1 or the US Replicator Initiative.
A contract is one purchase: one notice, with a buyer, a date and usually a supplier. A program can run through many contracts over many years. A contract is linked to at most one program, the effort its notice belongs to; links are made by matching the notice to the program, and the uncertain ones are queued for a person to check.
A company's product line, an office or task force, a list of approved products and a platform that many governments buy are not programs; each government's purchase of such a platform is a program of its own.
Status: concept, development, procurement (buying), operational (in service), or cancelled.
