Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. Who we are and who these terms are for
Drone Consult is operated by Drone Consult AS, a Norwegian company (“we”). These terms apply when an organisation (“you”) creates an account or buys a subscription. The service is sold to businesses and public bodies only. By subscribing you confirm that you act on behalf of an organisation, not as a consumer, and that you may bind it to these terms.
Browsing the public database without an account is free and needs no agreement; the limitations in section 6 still describe what the data is.
2. Plans and what they include
The current plans, prices and limits are listed on the pricing page. What your plan includes is what that page shows at the time you subscribe or renew. Accounts without a paid plan use the Free plan.
3. Trial, billing and renewal
- An organisation's first subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. Payment is taken by card through our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Prices are shown excluding VAT. Norwegian customers are charged Norwegian VAT where it applies. Customers outside Norway are invoiced without Norwegian VAT and account for any VAT in their own country; EU customers should give their VAT number at checkout so the invoice shows it.
- If you change plan, the change applies at once and the difference is charged or credited pro rata.
- If a payment fails, we and Stripe will retry it and notify you. If it still cannot be collected, your organisation moves to the Free plan until payment is made.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change applies from your next renewal after the notice period, never to a period you have already paid for.
4. Founding-customer offer
While the offer is open, a founding-customer code gives 40% off a paid plan for the first 24 months of the subscription. It is limited to the first 20 organisations and to an organisation's first subscription. After the discount period the normal price applies. Cancelling ends the discount; it does not carry over to a new subscription.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel at any time under Account → Billing → Manage billing. The subscription then ends at the close of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then. Your account continues on the Free plan.
- Monthly payments are not refunded.
- For a yearly subscription, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of the first yearly payment. Later payments, including renewals, are not refunded.
- If we end the service or materially cut a paid feature during a period you have paid for, we refund the unused part of that period.
6. What the data is, and what it is not
Drone Consult compiles public procurement notices and other public sources, and adds classification, translation, linking and analysis, partly with automated tools and AI. We work to keep it accurate, but records can be incomplete, late, duplicated or wrong, and coverage differs by source and country. Our methodology page explains the limits.
The service is information, not legal, commercial or investment advice. Before you rely on a deadline, value, eligibility rule or other fact, check it against the original source, which each record links to where available.
7. Using the service
- Accounts are for people in your organisation. Keep sign-in links and API keys to yourselves; you are responsible for what is done with them.
- You may use what you find in your own work and share individual findings with colleagues and clients. You may not resell or republish the database or large parts of it, build a competing product from it, or extract it in bulk by scraping or automation beyond the API limits of your plan.
- Do not attempt to break security, overload the service or reach other customers' data. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why.
8. Your data and ours
Your saved searches, notes, uploads and team details belong to you. We use them only to run the service, as described in the privacy policy, and we delete them on request. Public source records remain public; our compilation, classifications and analysis are ours. We offer a data processing agreement on request.
9. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available and alerts timely, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that every notice is captured, or that an alert arrives within a given time.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost contracts or a missed tender. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what your organisation paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. These limits do not apply to loss caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will email account administrators at least 30 days before a change that reduces your rights takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can cancel before then and, for a yearly subscription, receive a refund for the unused months.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. We will try to settle any disagreement by talking first; otherwise disputes go to the Norwegian courts, with the court of Drone Consult AS's registered office as the agreed venue.
