Coverage gaps: Not all defense drone contracts are published on open procurement portals. Classified programs, FMS (Foreign Military Sales), and contracts below publication thresholds are not included. Our database represents the visible procurement landscape.
Value estimates: All values are converted to EUR using fixed exchange rates. Original currency is preserved in individual contract records. Approximately 15-20% of contracts lack a reported value.
Update frequency: TED, UK-CF and FPDS are polled every 4 hours. Full pipeline (enrichment, QC, linking) runs daily. Manual verification runs weekly. Programs and organizations are enriched on an ongoing basis.
AI involvement: AI is used for initial classification, translation (non-English titles), program linking, and data enrichment. All AI-generated data is subject to QC rules and periodic human review. AI-sourced fields are tagged in our database.
Known issues: Some contract amendments may appear as separate entries. Cross-source deduplication catches most duplicates but edge cases exist. If you spot an error, please contact us.
Open-Source Intelligence: All information is derived from publicly available materials. Drone Consult does not use, access, or distribute classified or restricted information.
Accuracy: Data is curated with care but may contain errors. Independently verify critical information before making decisions.
