1. Who We Are

Drone Consult is a defense drone intelligence platform operated by Drone Consult AS. We provide open-source procurement data analysis for the defense drone industry.

2. Data We Collect

Newsletter Subscription

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address only. This is stored securely and used solely for sending newsletter updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymous usage data (page views, referrers, device type) without using cookies or tracking individuals. No personal data is collected through analytics.

No Cookies

This site does not use tracking cookies. No third-party advertising or social media tracking is present on this site.

3. Data Sources

All procurement data displayed on this platform is sourced from publicly available government procurement portals:

  • TED — Tenders Electronic Daily (European Union)
  • UK Contracts Finder (United Kingdom)
  • SAM.gov / FPDS (United States)
  • NATO NSPA (NATO Support and Procurement Agency)

This data is public information. We add analysis, classification, and cross-referencing but do not alter the original procurement records.

4. Business Outreach and Referral Links

We occasionally contact companies that appear in public procurement notices to tell them about Drone Consult. For this we keep company-level records only (company name, country, the public award that prompted our note, and contact status) — never personal profiles. The source of this information is always public procurement notices (GDPR art. 14). Every such email includes a working opt-out: reply “no thanks” and we record the objection and never write again.

Links in those emails (of the form /r/…) are first-party referral links: we count that the link was clicked and, if you create an account through one, we record that the signup came from our outreach. That is the full extent of it — no tracking pixels, no email open-tracking, no third-party trackers. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)); our balancing assessment is documented internally.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access any personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for newsletter at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

6. Data Retention

Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous — no personal data is retained. Company-level outreach records are kept while relevant; objections are kept permanently as a suppression list so we never contact you again.
