Germany is replacing the Bundeswehr's ALADIN close-range reconnaissance drone with the Quantum-Systems Twister. The Bundestag budget committee approved a framework agreement for about 750 ALADIN systems on 3 December 2025, and the procurement office BAAINBw signed it with Quantum-Systems on 12 December 2025, ordering 147 systems with services firm and up to 600 more as options. The firm systems are due from 2026 to 2028 for the Army, Navy and Air Force, and in May 2026 the Bundeswehr described Twister as the successor to ALADIN.
