Quantum Systems develops electric vertical-take-off-and-landing unmanned aircraft and associated mission software for tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. Its Vector family combines fixed-wing flight with vertical launch and recovery; Vector AI adds onboard processing for object detection, classification and tracking, with a modular configuration that can also operate as a multicopter. The company identifies operational experience in Ukraine as an input to product development.
Its smaller Twister system targets squad- and platoon-level reconnaissance. In December 2025, Quantum Systems announced a Bundeswehr ALADIN-replacement contract comprising 147 firm systems and options for up to 600 additional systems, rather than 747 firm purchases. The company links Twister to its MOSAIC UXS mission software and describes interoperability with the German FALKE system.
This combination of portable aircraft, sensor integration and mission software makes Quantum Systems relevant to European tactical reconnaissance procurement, while advertised electronic-warfare resilience and performance figures require mission-specific validation.
