France PARADE Counter-Drone

PARADE (Protection déployable modulaire anti-drones) is a French counter-drone programme run by the DGA to field deployable, modular systems that detect, classify and neutralise micro and mini drones, protecting military sites, forces deployed abroad and major events. After a European competition launched in 2021, the DGA notified a Thales and CS Group consortium in April 2022, with EUR 33 million firm within a programme budget of EUR 350 million over 11 years and a first order for six systems. Development ran late, but PARADE was deployed at Paris 2024 Olympic sites alongside other French counter-drone systems.
