HELMA-P is a high-energy laser weapon system developed by CILAS for countering UAVs (especially Class 1 drones up to 25kg) and asymmetric threats like IEDs, robots, and mortars. It provides hard-kill neutralization through detection, tracking, and destruction using a multi-kW laser beam, with ranges up to 3,000m for optical damage and 1,000m for full neutralization. The modular system mounts on fixed sites, vehicles, or ships, features stealth (silent, invisible), jamming immunity, and integrates with C2/BMS via LIDAR and ADS-B for safety.
