French General Directorate for Armament (DGA)

The Direction générale de l'armement (DGA) is the French government's defense procurement and technology agency, responsible for project management, development, and purchase of weapon systems for the French Armed Forces within the Ministry of the Armed Forces. It equips the military, prepares future defense systems, coordinates armament projects with industry in France and Europe, conducts testing and assessment of equipment, and promotes French defense exports. Key capabilities include managing over a hundred major weapons programs across land, naval, air, space, and other domains, with test centers for advanced technologies and supervision of defense engineering schools.
