nEUROn Reactivation & Successor Development

The French General Directorate for Armament (DGA) is contracting with Dassault Aviation to reactivate the nEUROn demonstrator and develop a successor unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) intended for operational deployment by 2033. The new stealth drone will function as a 'loyal wingman' to complement the Rafale F5 fighter jet, incorporating autonomous control systems and internal weapons capacity to enhance French air force technological superiority. This program leverages over 170 test flights and validated technologies from the original nEUROn demonstrator, eliminating the need for a separate technology demonstrator phase.
