Brazilian Army SARP Category 1 (Horus FT-100)

The SARP Category 1 programme, known inside the Brazilian Army as Horus, fields the FT-100 Horus, a small hand-launched reconnaissance drone that FT Sistemas began developing in 2010 with the Army Technology Centre (CTEx) and the Military Engineering Institute (IME). The programme belongs to the Army's RECOP strategic project, and the Ministry of Defence approved the FT-100 as a Strategic Defence Product. The Army began operating it in early 2015 and bought three systems in November 2015, and the Brazilian Navy received one in 2016. The Army's paratroop brigade flew it on reconnaissance missions during Operation Amazon 2020.
