Spain SIRTAP

SIRTAP is the Spanish Ministry of Defence's programme to develop and buy a high-performance tactical unmanned aircraft system from Airbus for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance over land and sea. The contract, signed on 29 November 2023 and worth close to EUR 495 million, covers nine systems of three aircraft each, plus two simulators, for the Army and the Air and Space Force. The first prototype made its first taxi run at Getafe in June 2026, about a year behind plan, and its first flight is scheduled for the last quarter of 2026 at INTA's CEUS test centre in Huelva.
