The SIRTAP Development and Procurement Contract is a €495 million agreement signed in November 2023 between Airbus and the Spanish Ministry of Defence for the development and acquisition of SIRTAP, a high-performance tactical unmanned aerial system (UAS). The contract covers nine systems, with each system consisting of three unmanned aerial vehicles and one ground control station, plus two training simulators. SIRTAP is designed for advanced surveillance, intelligence, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions over land and sea, featuring a range exceeding 2,000km, endurance of more than 20 hours, a payload capacity over 150kg, and the ability to operate in all-weather conditions. The system will strengthen the tactical capabilities of the Spanish Army and Air and Space Force, with deliveries expected to begin in 2026.
