Also known as: MEUAS
Mid-Endurance Unmanned Aircraft Systems (MEUAS) is a US Special Operations Command programme that buys contractor-owned, contractor-operated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services from mid-endurance drones for special operations forces at sites worldwide. SOCOM buys the service through successive multiple-award IDIQ contracts whose holders compete for task orders: MEUAS III was awarded in June 2017 to Textron's AAI and Boeing's Insitu, with Arcturus added later that month, under a $475 million ceiling and task orders through June 2022. MEUAS IV was awarded in June 2020 to six companies under a combined $975 million ceiling over five years, and its task orders include about $22 million for AeroVironment JUMP 20 services with satellite links for beyond line of sight operations, announced in July 2021.
