MQ-28 Ghost Bat

The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is an Australian-developed unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) designed as a 'loyal wingman' to operate alongside crewed aircraft like the F/A-18F Super Hornet and E-7A Wedgetail, performing roles such as intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), scouting, electronic warfare, and strike support. It features high autonomy with AI-enhanced control software, enabling independent operations under human oversight for lethal decisions, and has demonstrated live-fire capability by launching an AIM-120 missile in December 2025. Key capabilities include fighter-like performance, a range exceeding 3,700 km, and modular payloads for missions including potential armed combat.
