Third tranche of MQ-28 Ghost Bat collaborative combat aircraft for Australian Government

The 'MQ-28A Ghost Bat Development Investment' is an Australian Government contract awarded to Boeing Defence Australia valued at approximately AUD$754 million (equivalent to about 670 million EUR at current rates) for delivering, developing, and supporting a third tranche of MQ-28 Ghost Bat collaborative combat aircraft (CCA). It funds six operational Block 2 aircraft, development of an enhanced Block 3 prototype with features like internal weapons bays and increased wingspan for greater range, and supporting infrastructure under the AIR6015 program to achieve RAAF operational capability by 2028, supplementing crewed fleets with autonomous air-to-air and surveillance capabilities demonstrated in live-fire tests.
