UK Project MORRIGHAN

Project MORRIGHAN is a UK Ministry of Defence research and experimentation project, sponsored by JHubMed, to develop a platform-agnostic universal carriage system so that heavy-lift uncrewed air and ground vehicles can move logistic and medical materiel and, in extremis, evacuate casualties. In January 2025 the MoD awarded Phase 1 prototype contracts worth GBP 448,800 in total to Skylift UAV, Aether Aerospace, ISS Group and Black Space Technology. In Phase 2, Certo Aerospace was contracted in 2025 to fly the Phase 1 carriage systems on its CAPSTONE VTOL drone, and in February 2026 Flowcopter received a GBP 153,000 contract running to February 2027 to evaluate heavy-lift uncrewed systems.
