MEUAS IV (Mid-Endurance Unmanned Aircraft Systems IV)

MEUAS IV (Mid-Endurance Unmanned Aircraft Systems IV) is a U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) program established to procure mid-endurance unmanned aircraft systems for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. The program selected six companies as of June 2025 to compete for task orders, with Arcturus UAV (AeroVironment subsidiary) winning a competitive task order valued at up to $7 million starting February 3, 2026, for a one-year performance period. AeroVironment has also received a $22 million task order for satellite communications-enabled beyond line-of-sight ISR services using JUMP 20 medium unmanned aircraft systems under the program. MEUAS IV represents a strategic capability for special operations forces requiring persistent airborne surveillance and reconnaissance with extended endurance and range compared to smaller tactical UAS. The program's indefinite-quantity structure allows for flexible procurement and scaling based on operational requirements and technology maturation.
