AeroVironment Horus A

The AeroVironment Horus A is a solar-powered, stratospheric high-altitude long-endurance (HALE) autonomous drone program developed for the U.S. military, primarily the Army, to enable intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions with months-long endurance. Its purpose includes persistent surveillance, communication relay, network extension, space domain awareness, and coordination of tactical drone swarms like the Switchblade 600, while carrying a 68 kg (150 lb) payload and delivering 1.5 kW of power via beyond line-of-sight (BLOS) satellite communications and advanced avionics.
