Helsing is a European defence technology company combining artificial-intelligence software with unmanned strike systems. Its HX-2 is an electrically propelled X-wing precision munition, introduced in late 2024, with a company-stated range of up to 100 kilometres. Helsing describes its Altra reconnaissance-strike software as enabling coordinated operation of multiple HX-2 aircraft under human operators.
In February 2025, it announced production of 6,000 HX-2 for Ukraine, separately from an earlier order for 4,000 HF-1 strike drones that it said were being delivered with Ukrainian industry. The same announcement described its first German Resilience Factory as operational; stated capacity is not a delivery count.
Helsing also contributes AI-based sensor-data analysis beyond drones. A December 2025 teaming agreement with Kongsberg envisages a European space-based intelligence, surveillance and targeting constellation by 2029, with Hensoldt sensor technology. That collaboration establishes a Norwegian industrial connection but remains a prospective capability rather than a completed constellation.
