German Federal Ministry of Defence

The Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg) is the top-level federal agency responsible for Germany's military defence, overseeing the Bundeswehr armed forces as the supreme military command authority and administrative body. It manages policy, equipment procurement, planning, personnel, and operations across directorates including Equipment, Cyber & IT, and Strategy & Operations. With around 2,000 staff, it coordinates defence capabilities but does not directly produce drones or aerospace systems.
