Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz

The Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz (BfS) is the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection, a government agency responsible for protecting people and the environment from harmful effects of radiation. It does not engage in defense, aerospace, or security work, nor does it have a procurement role in those areas; instead, it focuses on radiation safety, monitoring, and regulation across civilian sectors including nuclear facilities and medical applications.
