Network Rail Infrastructure

Network Rail Infrastructure Limited is the operating company through which Network Rail owns and manages most of the railway network in Great Britain. It maintains, renews and develops track, signalling, bridges, tunnels and the major stations, funded by government grant and by access charges paid by train and freight operating companies. As a government-owned public body under the Department for Transport it is one of the UK's largest buyers of engineering, maintenance, inspection and survey services.
