Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency

The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) is a government agency subordinate to the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, responsible for procuring, managing, and retiring military materiel for the Norwegian Armed Forces and other defence sector agencies. It operates through five divisions: Naval Systems, Air Systems, Land Systems, Communication Information Systems, and General Materiel, handling the full lifecycle of defence equipment including planning projects, certification, and cost control. In the defence and aerospace sectors, NDMA serves as the primary procurement authority, including airworthiness regulation for military aircraft via its Air Systems Division.
