The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (FMI) has signed a contract with Precision Technic Defence for the acquisition of 8 (eight) "Man Portable Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle systems" (MP ROV), including an associated framework agreement for training, service, and spare parts. The system includes, among other things: • ROV • Tether • Batteries • Controller • Software • Sonar • Camera • Transit case • Manipulator arm • Disruptor. The capability will, among other things, ensure the possibility of clearing harbors, inspecting ship hulls, periodic monitoring of basins, as well as sea mine and ordnance disposal (EOD). Furthermore, the MP ROV capability will support tasks related to "Subsurface and Seabed Warfare" and contribute to a rapid and mobile deployment capability for the protection of critical infrastructure. The contract includes both a procurement contract for the delivery of the MP ROV systems and a framework agreement for service and maintenance, which is not expected to have the same financial scope as the acquisition itself. The procurement contract thus has a value of approximately 24,000,000 DKK, while the framework agreement for service and maintenance has a target value of approximately 12,000,000 DKK.
