NATO AGS Core System Procurement Contract

The NATO AGS Core System Procurement Contract, valued at $1.7 billion and awarded to Northrop Grumman as prime contractor, funds the acquisition of the NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) system. This is a NATO-owned and operated high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aircraft system (UAS) based on five RQ-4D Global Hawk Block 40 aircraft, providing all-weather, persistent wide-area terrestrial and maritime surveillance, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) for missions including troop protection, border control, counter-terrorism, crisis management, and humanitarian aid. The system includes air and ground segments with mission operations support (MOS), transportable and mobile ground stations, and data links for real-time situational awareness.
