Task order for the upgrade of AN/TPQ-50 radars to provide a multi-mission radar capability that can detect, track, and identify unmanned aerial systems (UAS)

The Department of the Army is contracting with SRCTEC, LLC for $9,456,975.36 to upgrade AN/TPQ-50 multi-mission radars with enhanced capabilities to detect, track, and identify unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The AN/TPQ-50 is a lightweight L-band radar system that provides 360-degree surveillance and can simultaneously detect multiple threats, with the upgrade expanding its air surveillance range to over 35 kilometers to address emerging counter-UAS requirements. This procurement supports modernization of the Army's air defense capabilities, particularly for very short-range air defense (V-SHORAD) and counter-UAS missions in an increasingly contested airspace environment.
