The Defense Contract Management Agency has awarded a $14,227,328.96 task order (05) under the C-UAS M-LIDS IDIQ contract to DRS Sustainment Systems Inc. for contractor logistics and technical support. This support is for the U.S. Army's Mobile-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Integrated Defeat System (M-LIDS), which detects, tracks, identifies, and defeats small drones using electronic warfare and kinetic effectors like the XM914 30mm cannon. Strategically, M-LIDS Increment 2 is an ACAT III program of record with accelerated deliveries to counter drone threats, and systems are deployed overseas protecting U.S. and allied forces.
