The Department of the Navy is procuring 34 ScanEagle unmanned aerial vehicles from Insitu, Inc. for approximately $42.4 million to support reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition operations in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Vietnam). The ScanEagle is a small, fixed-wing tactical UAS with over 20 hours of endurance, capable of carrying stabilized electro-optical and infrared camera systems for extended surveillance missions.
