The Department of the Army is procuring FS-LIDS (Fixed Site-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Integrated Defeat System) hardware systems from SRC Inc. under a new task order valued at USD 37,955,286.45 to detect, track, identify, and electronically defeat low, slow, small unmanned aerial systems threats. This supports fixed-site counter-UAS protection for military bases and installations, selected by the Joint Counter Small Unmanned Aerial Systems Office (JCO) as an interim solution amid rising threats from weaponized commercial drones.
