Deployment of Low and/or Medium Altitude

The contract, awarded by the Consejo de Administración del Parque Tecnológico de Fuerteventura S.A., M.P. to A-techSYN (via the ATAW consortium) for approximately 3.042 million EUR (initial budget 2.712 million EUR), involves deploying low and/or medium altitude unmanned aerial systems (UAS/drones) equipped with sensors and real-time data transmission to the ISSEC center as part of the RETECH4CAN project. It requires conducting five BVLOS operations totaling 1,500-2,000 flight hours over 14-15 months to support earth observation, environmental disaster monitoring, forest monitoring, and bioeconomy development in the Canary Islands. Funded by European sources, the project aims to position Fuerteventura as a European hub for aerospace innovation, with initial flights planned post-AESA permits and local team training.
