As part of its future vision, Politiezone Antwerpen wishes to further expand and optimize its drone operations. An important step in this is the exploration of so-called drone-in-a-box solutions. Automatic drones can indeed be deployed faster and more efficiently to support operational tasks, such as incident response, public order maintenance, corps or control actions, investigations, accident mapping, etc. This not only contributes to a faster response time, but also increases the deployability of the drone team and improves the information position on the ground. With this, Politiezone Antwerpen aims to evolve towards a 24/7 operation with its own pilots with almost complete coverage of automatic drones over its territory. In addition, Politiezone Antwerpen also wants to facilitate this drone deployment for other police zones within the framework of the inter-zonal cooperation.
