The Department of the Army, on behalf of United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), has contracted General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for $8,499,969.47 to provide MQ-9 contractor aircrew for launch and recovery (LR) services at one outside-the-continental US location. This services contract supports USSOCOM's MQ-9 Reaper operations, which are primarily for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, close air support, and precision strike in remote split operations, enabling beyond-line-of-sight control from the continental US.
