Hybrid propulsion system digital twin for group III to group V unmanned aerial vehicle

The Department of the Air Force awarded Odys Aviation Inc. a $1,249,971 SBIR Phase II contract to develop a Digital Twin for Hybrid Propulsion Systems for Group III to Group V unmanned aerial vehicles, enabling performance prediction, fault detection, and accelerated certification. The virtual model will initially be integrated into Odys's VTOL aircraft, 'Laila,' to improve efficiency and safety for defense and commercial applications. This effort addresses the need for lightweight, efficient hybrid power sources to enhance UAV range, endurance, and payload capacity.
