Accommodation Validation for MALE-Type RPAS operations

An EDA study from 2017, entitled "Accommodation of large-RPAS: scenarios and Safety Case", is still ongoing. By the end of 2018, the study is to deliver "standard scenarios" validated by real-time simulations (1 or more approaches to RPAS accommodation, including the expected initial capacity in terms of DAA, C3 — Detect and Avoid, C3-datalink...), which can later be used to support initial MALE-type operations in non-segregated airspace in Europe. A follow-up study from 2018 entitled "Accommodation Validation for MALE-Type RPAS operations" is expected to further validate the accommodation phase through the use of test/demo flights; further development/validation of RPAS standard accommodation scenarios and a first-hand impression of the implementation of the validated scenarios for MALE-type operations.
