The work performed on this task order will improve the weapon performance of the tactical high power operational responder (thor) counter unmanned aerial system demonstrator

The Department of the Air Force has awarded Leidos, Inc. a $5,111,176 task order to improve the weapon performance of the Tactical High Power Operational Responder (THOR) counter-unmanned aerial system demonstrator. THOR is a high-power microwave system developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory to disable drone swarms electromagnetically using non-kinetic bursts of intense radio waves, providing base defense against aerial threats. This work advances the THOR demonstrator, originally rapidly prototyped for operational testing, toward enhanced capabilities amid evolving drone swarm risks.
