M-LIDS Increment 2 Modification Contract

The US Army awarded Leonardo DRS a modification contract worth approximately EUR 47,200,000 (around $60 million USD) under the M-LIDS Increment 2 program to procure additional counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) platforms, including kinetic defeat vehicles and spares mounted on M-ATV vehicles equipped with XM914 30mm cannons and electronic warfare systems. This procurement supports the Army's Integrated Fires/Rapid Capabilities Office to enable soldiers to detect, track, and defeat low, slow, small UAS threats using a mix of kinetic and non-kinetic effectors. Strategically, M-LIDS Increment 2, designated an ACAT III program of record in March 2022, addresses urgent drone threats with accelerated deliveries, as sets are already deployed overseas protecting US and allied forces.
