The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is Air Force Materiel Command's nuclear-focused center that synchronizes all aspects of nuclear materiel management, including air-delivered capabilities and intercontinental ballistic missile systems, to deliver the nuclear capabilities warfighters use daily to deter and assure. Established in 2006 and headquartered at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, AFNWC acts as the Program Executive Officer for Nuclear Air Delivered and oversees the triad of nuclear weapons to ensure America's most powerful weapon systems are never doubted and always feared.
