Direzione degli Armamenti Navali

The Direzione degli Armamenti Navali (NAVARM) is the primary technical-financial entity of the Italian Navy, operating under SEGREDIFESA. It handles studies, technical development, procurement, and modernization of surface and submarine units, conventional, missile, and underwater weapon systems, command and control systems, radars, propulsion, and telecommunications. NAVARM also manages acquisition programs for auxiliary units, minor vessels, port and work craft, and oversees related financial and industrial activities.
