The Director of Contracting under the USMC Installations and Logistics (I&L) serves as one of the Marine Corps' Heads of Contracting Activity (HCA), responsible for functional leadership, policy development, oversight of the Marine Corps Field Contracting System (MCFCS), and ensuring compliance with acquisition regulations to support warfighter lethality and readiness. This office standardizes procurement processes, maintains the Marine Corps Acquisition Policy & Procedures (MAPP), conducts oversight reviews, executes the DON Procurement Performance Management Assessment Program (PPMAP), and procures supplies, services, logistics, and IT solutions for Marine Corps installations and operations.
