Health & Safety Executive

The Health and Safety Executive is the British public body responsible for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare in Great Britain. It proposes health and safety regulations and investigates industrial incidents from minor accidents to major disasters, across construction, mining, offshore installations, chemicals and healthcare. It appears in public procurement as a contracting authority for inspection, laboratory, survey and technology services.
