The Norwegian Coastal Administration, a transport agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. It is responsible for safe and efficient traffic in Norwegian fairways and ports along a 9,200 km coastline, operating roughly 22,000 navigation marks, five vessel traffic service centres, the state pilotage service and its own fleet of vessels. It also holds national responsibility for preparedness against acute pollution, and acts as authority, technical body and state developer of maritime infrastructure, which makes it a buyer of maritime surveillance, survey and monitoring services.
