Japan Coast Guard

The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) is a maritime law enforcement agency responsible for protecting Japan's coastline, conducting search and rescue, and hydrographic surveys. It operates under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism with approximately 13,700 personnel. While not primarily a defense organization, it supports national security through maritime patrols but has no verified role in the drone industry or key defense capabilities beyond coast guard functions.
