Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWC Crane) is a U.S. Navy field activity and federal laboratory under Naval Sea Systems Command, providing acquisition engineering, in-service engineering, and technical support for sensors, electronics, electronic warfare, special warfare weapons, strategic systems, and expeditionary warfare systems. It focuses on three core areas: Strategic Missions for threat detection, missile defense, and global strike; Electronic Warfare for spectrum control across multi-domains; and Expeditionary Warfare for special operations support including sensors, munitions, and mobility. Key capabilities include full lifecycle support for complex military systems, modeling and simulation, and sustainment of EW systems for air, ground, surface, and submarine platforms.
