French Navy

The French Navy (Marine Nationale) is the maritime arm of the French Armed Forces and one of France's four military service branches. It operates a diverse fleet including aircraft carriers, frigates, submarines, patrol vessels, and support ships, supported by naval aviation and specialized marine commandos. As of 2021, it employed 44,000 personnel and operated more than 180 ships and 200 aircraft.
