Bundesanstalt für Gewässerkunde

The Bundesanstalt für Gewässerkunde (BfG) is a German federal research institution that provides scientific expertise to support sustainable development of federal waterways, focusing on environmental protection, water quality, and ecological preservation rather than defense or security. As a government agency, the BfG conducts integrated research and development across coastal and inland waters to advise federal authorities and the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV) on policy implementation, but does not have a primary defense, aerospace, or security procurement role.
