UAS in Urban Environments (i9)

The 'UAS in Urban Environments (i9)' contract, valued at 125,000 GBP and issued by the UK Ministry of Defence, supports the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) Phase 1 of a framework to develop urban-optimised unmanned air systems (UAS). It focuses on three lots: Lot 1 for urban-optimised UAS platforms, Lot 2 for lethal payloads under human control, and Lot 3 for fully integrated systems with lethal payloads, aiming to reach Technology Readiness Level 6 within 90 days via demonstrations in urban test environments. This initiative seeks robust, cost-effective armed UAS capable of operating in representative urban settings, with total Phase 1 funding of £900k and individual proposals up to £150k.
