The Dutch Ministry of Defence is conducting a feasibility study into the possibility of producing American air defence ammunition—specifically AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAMs)—in the Netherlands. The study, approved by the US government and conducted by Raytheon (the AMRAAM manufacturer), will examine how the Dutch defence industry can contribute to production, assembly, and maintenance of these systems. This initiative supports NATO's broader strategy to accelerate AMRAAM delivery and strengthen European defence capabilities in collaboration with the United States.
