The French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (Shom), via EPA-SHOM, awarded a contract worth 1,500,000 EUR for the acquisition of 200m-capable microAUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) drones, following a tender published on August 7, 2025. The contract was granted to RTsys for the NemoSens model, a compact, lightweight (under 10 kg) underwater micro-drone equipped with sidescan sonar and magnetometer for high-resolution seabed mapping up to 200m depths, supporting hydrographic, oceanographic, and defense missions as part of Shom's 2024 modernization program. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
