Purchase of REMUS 300M Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

The UK Ministry of Defence is procuring REMUS 300M Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) from HII Unmanned Systems for a value of GBP 2,544,179.12. These small-class, two-man portable UUVs are designed for specialist mine warfare personnel, supporting missions such as mine countermeasures, search and recovery, hydrographic surveys, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. The REMUS 300M offers modularity, up to 30-hour endurance, 305m depth rating, and speeds up to 5 knots, aligning with the Royal Navy's adoption for its Mine and Threat Exploitation Group.
